I believe in building an economy that works for everyone—not just the wealthy and well-connected. That means investing in small businesses, revitalizing underserved neighborhoods, and ensuring state funding supports job creation right here in District 14. As a former legislator and public servant, I’ve helped pass legislation that promoted urban renewal, supported minority-owned businesses, and secured funding for economic growth in our communities. In the Senate, I’ll continue fighting for policies that bring good-paying jobs and long-term investment to North County and beyond.

As a longtime UAW leader and labor advocate, I understand the importance of strong unions and skilled workforce pipelines. I’ve worked to expand job training opportunities, support fair wages, and defend workers’ rights in both the public and private sectors. Organized labor built the middle class—and I’ll oppose any effort to weaken it. In the Senate, I’ll prioritize apprenticeship programs, union protections, and workforce partnerships that prepare Missourians for the jobs of tomorrow while preserving the dignity of work.

Education is the foundation of opportunity. I’ve fought for equitable school funding, access to quality early childhood education, and support for teachers and school staff. Every child—regardless of zip code—deserves a chance to succeed. That means investing in public schools, modernizing our curriculum, and ensuring college and career pathways are within reach for all. I’ll also champion expanded access to trade schools, community colleges, and financial aid so that students and families have real choices and real support.

Healthcare is a human right—not a privilege. I’ve sponsored legislation to improve health outcomes for women, men, and seniors across Missouri. In the State Senate, I’ll work to strengthen and protect Medicaid, expand mental health services, and increase access to affordable care in underserved areas. We must also address health disparities in Black and Brown communities and ensure that no family has to choose between paying bills and getting the care they need. Your health should never depend on your income or your zip code.
